Who runs this site
Nippon Baseball is written and run by David Igono. You can find more of my work at directoroffootball.com.
What the site is for
It’s an evergreen English-language encyclopedia of Japanese professional baseball. The aim is to explain the history, the clubs, the rules and the culture clearly, for readers who don’t read Japanese. It covers history, not live stats.
Sourcing
Articles are written in my own words from published sources, which are listed at the end of each article. Where an article draws on Wikipedia, it credits Wikipedia, whose text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence (CC BY-SA). I don’t copy stats tables from other sites. Facts and figures are summarized and cited.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, please email me at igonodavid@gmail.com with the page and, if you can, a source. I check every report and correct errors promptly; significant corrections are noted on the page.
Independence
This site is independent. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) or any of its clubs. Team names are used only to identify them.
